Shoes4Africa
Back in 1995 founder, Toby Tanser, was training athletics in Kenya. Lost on foot in the Mara he discovered true charity and support from the Kenyan people. Leaving Kenya (shoeless) he was arrested as a vagrant, upon arriving in Sweden (in the snow). He discovered others too wished to help and give shoes.
The program moved to holding AIDS Awareness events, supporting educational programs, Women's Empowerment, and then peace reconciliation events. Today Shoe4Africa is embarking on its biggest initiative... In May 2010 we begun building a school, and our cornerstone project, to build the largest children's hospital, is turning from a dream into reality.
